Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux brings more excitement to Total 24 Hours of Spa weekend

The weekend of the 70th edition of the Total 24 Hours of Spa just got even more attractive. The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux, the fastest single-make series of the Low Countries, will hold its fourth round of the season in the build-up to the highlight of the Blancpain GT Series.

In itself the Total 24 Hours of Spa is reason enough to travel to the Belgian circuit during the last weekend of July, but fans of GT racing now have an extra motivation to attend the 70th edition of the world’s biggest GT3 race. With the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux as part of the support races, more close and fast racing action will grace the Ardennes circuit.

The 2018 season of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux sees the introduction of the second generation of the 991-version Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. This so-called Gen II car now has a four litre engine, lifting its power to 485 bhp. An evolution of the aerodynamics makes the new car lose less than a second per kilometer to its GT3 counterpart. Promising, to say the least!
